The Church Militant in France
A couple of great videos from the website, Secretum Meum Mihi. Seems the good French bishop had decided to relieve a local priest of his duties at his parish, due to the fact that the priest in question had the audacity to celebrate the Traditional Latin Mass (and no, I refuse to call it the “Extraordinary form”). However, the Catholic folk at this parish won’t go quietly.
The bishop arrived to a packed house on January 3, 2010. Needless to say, the laity were appalled at the pudgy little man and his polyester “fag-flag friendly” chasuble. They were even more upset when he began to speak, explaining his actions. I especially liked seeing one family remove their son (in red cassock and surplice) from the sanctuary, with the father yelling at the bishop.
Obviously, this is a case of the Church Militant having enough of radical liberal bishops refusing to allow the Mass of the Ages, the True Mass from being celebrated.
My kudos to those Frenchmen who demanded their right to the True Mass. Too bad the French didn’t show this much backbone in 1940.

Dear Prevatz,
ReplyDeleteI just came across your blog.
Let me first say you have some very good points and some truly excellent videos on your site, but I cannot let pass without commenting on the video made in Normandy at Thiberville. You seem to be in favour of the actions of the rabble there, assembled for what ? Mass ? I don’t know, what is clear to me is that it was a political manifestation, inside a church, of all places.
In a way, you have done the Catholic Church a good service by exposing the events which took place. As a card-carrying Roman Catholic, who has never changed his views or his Mass in his life, I can truly understand the outrage felt by the congregation, knowing the French people a little, especially since the bishop had the audacity to wear such a provocative chasuble/ Cope ?, I couldn’t see properly, a garment displaying the international symbol of homosexuals, the “Rainbow”. I hope it didn’t mean what I think it meant. Was it just a coincidence ?
Nevertheless, nothing WHATSOEVER can excuse the absolutely wicked behaviour of the rabble inside the Church. These misguided people must remember that a Catholic church is a consecrated place, the house of our Dear Lord and Master Jesus Christ, not a place for shouting and screaming at someone who you do not like, whether or not your feelings are justified. It is not the house of the resident priest, Abbe Michel or of the ordinary, Monseigneur Christian Nourrichard, it is the house of God and all must remember it. Without fail.
I think I saw a monstrance on the altar, I just hope that the Blessed Sacrament was not reserved in this church, Our Dear Lord has enough to suffer from Atheists, Communists, Muslims and many others, including those who call themselves Catholics, without being subjected to shouting and screaming from a rabble-rousing mob like this in a Catholic church, before a consecrated bishop of the Holy Roman Catholic Church.
Don’t get me wrong, I do not know much about this bishop, but if he conforms to the French stereotype, he would have a hard job convincing me of his correct exercise of authority.
I also saw mention of the Old Mass, which might explain something of the misguided fervour of the mob, definitely not a congregation.
If you object to what is being said by a priest, a bishop, or anyone else speaking officially in a church, get up from your seat, genuflect and get out. That is what I have always done and it works, don’t descend to the level of the gutter like these people in Thiberville. Take the bishop on afterwards, if you can, if not, avoid that church and that bishop.
Another point Mr Prevatz, you call the bishop “a the pudgy little man”, that is puerile, is that the best you can do, to draw attention to his size and his shape ?? Hein ? That was pathetic and reduces your credibility enormously. You should apologise. Are you the perfect specimen of a male human being perhaps ? I wonder.
You say “The bishop arrived to a packed house on January 3, 2010”. It was a church, not a house. Your commentary smacks a little of rabble-rousing itself.
For my part I believe it is better to remain calm, rational and controlled and respectful in the house of God, dedicated to worship and prayer, rather than to participate vicariously in an unseemly demonstration inside the house of God, no matter how righteous I might feel.
As a veteran of defending the Mass of All Time, I believe you are greatly in error in supporting these disgraceful people, these so-called Catholics
One last remark : you say “My kudos to those Frenchmen who demanded their right to the True Mass. Too bad the French didn’t show this much backbone in 1940”. That is a very cheap shot indeed.
In Domino

JM,
ReplyDeleteThank you for your comments, and I'm glad you like my blog.
Allow me to answer a few of your questions/concerns:
1. "...before a consecrated bishop of the Holy Roman Catholic Church."
Please see my comments at the beginning of my blog: --I believe that many Novus Ordo bishops are direct successors to only one Apostle, Judas Iscariot.
2. "Are you the perfect specimen of a male human being perhaps?"
Absolutely!!
3. "One last remark : you say “My kudos to those Frenchmen who demanded their right to the True Mass. Too bad the French didn’t show this much backbone in 1940”. That is a very cheap shot indeed."
As to that last one, I really should apologize. They did, after all, hold out for two whole weeks.
Thanks again & Semper Fi
Dear Mr Prevatz (or would that be Prevat2?),
ReplyDeleteDon't you know that it's perfectly acceptable for a bishop(?) to make a political statement by desecrating his vestments (and the House of God) by adorning them with the unofficial flag of Sham Franthithco and everything Sodomite-friendly... yet, any laity who are sick to death of the homo-takeover of Catholicism are labeled as nothing more than "rabble" and a "mob"?
I'll bet Jeremiah would have held the nail for that other pudgy fat-ass, martin luther. After all, where that fat-ass son of a bitch preached his heresy was "a house of God", too. Well, at least it was.
God save us from the Nervous Disorder and all it's bastardized spawn who defend that monstrosity.
